CMSC-33281: Topics in Human-Robot Interaction (Graduate Seminar)


This course exposes students to a broad range of recent and cutting-edge research in HRI. Some of the topics covered in this course include: verbal & nonverbal robot behavior, social dynamics, norms, ethics, collaboration, learning, group interactions, applications, and future challenges. Course meetings primarily consist of group discussions of HRI research papers. In addition to these discussions, students also complete a course project, giving them hands-on HRI research experience.
